Toyota's meeting on its future electric vehicle strategy is a surprising gold mine of new concept cars, which illustrates Toyota's future in the all-electric market. CEO Akio Toyoda showed off not one, not even three, but 15 new electric cars of different sizes and styles, all of them with Toyota and Lexus badges. We will discuss a variety of vehicles in this article, including sports cars, SUVs, trucks, and more value-oriented hatchbacks. It can be said with certainty that Toyota has a bright future.

The discussion with Toyota CEO Akio started with bZ4x. This crossover has been exposed and is expected to be released in 2022/23. It will be built on Toyota's e-TNGA platform and will generate approximately 215 horsepower in the form of AWD through two motors.

Then the conversation shifted to a tighter intersection next to it. Currently named bZ Compact, this name will be changed, but the inclined roofline and two-tone paint job will be retained. Akio Toyoda focused on its "beautiful silhouette", which is a design choice we admire very much.

There is also a small red hatchback in the same lineup, which reminds us of the BMW i3. According to Akio Toyoda, it "designed with Europe and Japan in mind", which means it will be very good at cruising in the urban jungle with a moderate range and sufficient outside visibility. Unfortunately, we are currently unable to see the scenery in the cabin. After all, these are just concepts.

This is the case with the bZ large SUV. It has enough room for three rows of seats, and there will be a Lexus counterpart, which will be at the top of the brand portfolio.

But SUV is too 2020, you guys want to talk about that stylish sports car you can see in the photos. This is very exciting-a sports car that focuses on solid-state batteries and meets all common requirements: two seats, a large hood, and a smooth and rounded rear. It obviously borrowed from Supra's design choices, Toyota promised 0-62 mph in less than 2 seconds, and a cruising range of 435 miles. If this has not made your heart beat faster, Toyoda added that it will have a "secret recipe" that is forged from the development of the legendary Lexus LFA.

These designs, combined with all-electric trucks, seem to eventually replace products like Hilux and even FJ Cruiser replacements, currently nicknamed "Compact Cruiser EV." The small SU EV, Crossover EV and small two-seater sports car with a removable targa roof were also displayed. There are many things to like here.

There are two cars at the top of the affordability list. A very small Mid Box and a smaller Micro Box. They are very suitable for urban driving, cheap, flexible, and comply with any emission standards in the city center.

Toyota and Lexus plan to produce 30 electric vehicles by the end of this decade after investing 35 billion U.S. dollars in this technology, and plan to sell 3.5 million vehicles globally each year.
