Wilson County crash on Central Pike involved dump truck, police say

A 45-year-old from Lebanon was killed driving a dump truck that ran off the road and hit a tree in Wilson County on Thursday morning, according to police.

Carlos Coronado was killed in the wreck that occurred at 17031 Central Pike, east of Interstate 40 and Oak Grove Road, just before 9:30 a.m.

The truck was headed eastbound and crossed the center lane and ran off the left side of the roadway, according to a Tennessee Highway Patrol preliminary report. The truck made contact with a ditch and a tree,

There was no passenger listed in the report. No other injuries or vehicles involved were reported.
