After a three-win performance at the C-I tournament, the Warrior volleyball team brought momentum to the clash with St. Cloud Apollo. Brainerd setter Lauren Kirkpatrick spread the wealth to her hitters as Brainerd pummeled Apollo 15-3, 15-3, 15-8. Brooke Rollins and Megan Arns got 10 kills each, Nikki Dehen and Haley Bower got seven each.

Illinois overcame Michigan's first-day lead entering the final round of the Northern BASS Federation Championship at Lower Antrim Lakes, Illinois. Minnesota is eighth in the team event. Brainerd's Chuck Steinbauer is one of the 12 members of the Minnesota squad.

It is reported that a special train from St. Paul brought in 40 replacement workers for the railroad shops yesterday morning, and 17 of them went on to Staples on the 11:00 a.m. train. An additional 18 men were brought in on the afternoon train and taken to the shops by truck.
