What’s the most comfortable car you ever drove?

Give us your take in the comments section.

1961 Buick special, believe it or not. Makes my 1990 Alfa seem like a go-cart.

1999 Honda Accord with a 4 cyl v-tec engine 4 dr..At 90 mph it sucked down tight to the road and was very stable and smooth!

1995 MB S500. Super balanced and comfortable.

1962 Lincoln Continental, just floats down the hi way

A 1990 Lincoln Town Car. Rented it for my Honeymoon. Drove it 400 miles each way. Very comfortable ride.

Father – in – Laws’s 2001 Lincoln Continental

I inherited my grandfather’s 1970 Olds Delta 98 Royale in the early 1980s. I always drove smaller cars, Mercury Capri, Ford Pinto & a Mercury LN-7. That Olds was driving on my living room couch. Handled like a tug boat, but it could pull one too!

My 1973 Volvo 1800ES was a dream ride.

My Citroën DS was absolutely #1. As their ads said “Driving like God in France”! Unfortunately the car rusted away right under my comfortable behind.

Yes, mine was the 72 Citroen SM – the same hydraulic suspension licensed to Rolls – and later others – and the height-adjustable suspension you could raise and/or lower on the fly, and the ‘heart-shaped’ cam on the steering wheel that brought the steering wheel back to dead center, and the articulated and adjustable leather seats, a great car.

My 2003 Cadillac CTS; my 2011 GMC Acadia Denali; and my mother’s 2000 Buick LeSabre. The Buick had the smoothest ride, while the leather bucket seats in the other 2 vehicles fit my body quite well.

1975 Lincoln Mark IV. What an automobile it was. Luxury, power, and great looks.

1973 Coupe De Ville and a 2014 Equus. The Equus had a computer controlled air suspension. Man was that comfortable!

R Squared all of them nothing compares

By far, it would have to be the Lincoln Town Car. Owned a 2000 and 2003 and they went through pot holes or railroad tracks without the slightest rattle, just a mild thud at most.

1972 Pontiac Catalina! 400ci Pontiac.At 100mph it was like driving a cloud with a sofa for a driver’s seat!

1967 Buick Skylark. Smooth ride, floated down the road. Bought it my junior year in high school in Columbus, Ohio.

Jaguar XJ 6 . Without any doubt, the Jaguar XJ 6 was and still is the most comfortable car to drive. Smooth , silky, flawless and style to top it off.

Sure. Four wheel indipanted suspension.

1972 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham, 2 door coupe, B5 Blue, white vinyl top, white leather power bucket seats, every single available option at the time. By far, the most comfortable vehicle I have ever driven. Wish I still had it! I’ve spent HOURS searching the net and I have never seen another one like it. If you happen to come across a pic of this car, please send me a link. leoclement@sympatico.ca

Jaguar XJS V-12 coupe. Fast and smooth, it would cruise over a hundred MPH before I (or my wife) realized it. At 100-120 it was just getting it’s legs. Best car ever.

The best RIDING car that I have ever been in is my 1986 Jaguar XJ-6 sedan. I bought it when I worked for Lexus sometime between 2000 and 2005. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the Lexus line, (we own 2 of them today) but during that time period Lexus had NOTHING to compare to my XJ-6 for ride quality.

The correct answer can only be the 1955 and 1956 Packards.

2013 Cadillac XTS heads up display turbo charged living room on wheels Wish I still had it

I found a 1989 Buick Park Avenue. It had an amazing comfortable ride. A great car for long trips. The 3800 engine was terrific.

I had a 2001 model, Bosses wife got an SUV and this was now my company car. Ultra – Supercharged. Looked like your Grandmothers car, but it would GO and it was luxurious!

My new black 1975 Lincoln Mark iV. That car had the best ride ever. I put over 175,000 miles on it.

My 1964 Chrysler 300 K, heavy duty torsion bar suspension, it has less body roll then the GM and Ford luxury cars, and it rides just as soft as them.

My 1982 Mercury Grand Marquis Colony Park

2014 Cadillac Escalade was like riding a magic carpet; smooth, powerful and I only wish that I could take the seats inside my living room at night.

My uncle’s seventies Ford LTD or later in his 1977/78 Lincoln Continental. I even slept like a baby in those sound proof and cushy interior cars.

1967 Mercury Wagon… very heavy and smooth riding

1978 Cadillac Eldorado Barritz, the big boat!

1976 Oldsmobile 98 Regency – This was my father’s car which I got to drive fairly often. It just floated down the road like a cloud after he bought a new Cadillac, he gave the Olds to my brother for a college graduation gift.

The 1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz custom that I own NOW! … It’s only got 31,000 original miles on it and it drives like a DREAM in EVERY respect… My kids say “it’s like driving a couch”

A 1976 Lincoln Continental. Most comfortable and quiet car I ever owned.

A 1984 Cadillac Coupe that I still have!

I owned a 1973 Cadillac Fleetwood dEleganc. It was the most comfortable car I ever rode in.

I’ve owned a lot of cars, but I would have to say my Pontiac Bonneville SSE 1991.
