Pickup trucks are all the craze these days, but with GMC in the picture, will the craze ever end?

It’s truck week in Grasso’s Garage. The 2022 GMC Sierra Denali is the ultimate pickup with its recent rejuvenation making this the top truck in the pickup truck market.

For GMC, the truck brand for General Motors, the Sierra is a staple on the road and for consumers. Its ability to maintain comfort, sightlines, ground elevation and appearance sets it apart from the rest. Clearly, there are a lot of options in this market with Chevrolet’s Silverado, Ford’s F-150 and of course RAM.

Wrapped in Titanium Rush Metallic accompanied with an Alpine Umber interior, the Sierra Denali 1500 is a dream pickup truck. Fulfilling many uses, the Sierra has long served its customers and for good reason, this truck is awesome. The “Cadillac of Trucks” in Grasso’s Garage, the Sierra has always been a favorite.

Utilizing a 6.2-liter Ecotec3 V8 engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, the Sierra is comfortable, quiet and has plenty of get-up and go.

Plus, our Denali Ultimate tester came stacked with just about every option you can ask for.

Riding on 22-inch, low-gloss black aluminum wheels, the Sierra Denali Ultimate has its appealing face on. Key items to recognize for the Sierra Denali Ultimate were electronic running boards, low-to-the-ground ride height, a fantastic 13.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which does not protrude above the center stack, and the amazingly comfortable seats.

When pickup trucks were designed, they were made for work, but with the Sierra Denali Ultimate in the lineup, that has clearly changed. Although this would make a great work truck, it also serves those who have multiple purposes.

“The 2022 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate is a truck for shoppers who want to look great and, crucially, are willing to pay to look great,” said Matt Smith, deputy editor for CarGurus. “Its nearly $80,000 starting price is startlingly high, even in today’s pickup-truck market. Luckily, the Denali Ultimate offers plenty of steak to go with its price tag’s sizzle. From 22-inch wheels and imposing grille on the outside, to a dazzling 13.4-inch touchscreen on the inside, the 2022 Denali Ultimate strikes an imposing figure while delivering terrific features.”

In Grasso’s Garage, we love the GMC 1500 Sierra. It really serves the consumer well and its appearance sets it apart from the rest. But, it is also $80,000 with its top model and options which seems like a big stretch for the average truck user.
