Customization is a key part of the Harley-Davidson family and the company itself encourages it by organizing several build competitions around the world. This is also the reason why we get to see some truly gorgeous custom Harleys, and the Street Glide Hot Rod by Southeast Customs featured here is one such project.

Based on last year’s Street Glide, the custom motorcycle has a laundry list of upgrades. Starting with aesthetics, it dons a gorgeous black and red livery which wraps everything - front fairing, extended saddlebags, fuel tank - in a fading dual-tone finish.

The team has also color-matched the engine and seat with the livery, by wrapping both in a red-black color combo while topping things with a custom 21-inch front wheel partnered by a custom oil-cooler cover and fender.

As impressive as the Hot Rod design looks, the real deal is hidden under its skin. Yes, we’re talking about its Milwaukee Eight engine, which has undergone a massive overhaul. Right from the push rods to the bore, Southeast has upgraded everything to bump the cubic capacity from 1,868cc to 2,032cc, thus also increasing its output to 127 horsepower and 139 pound-feet (dyno tested).

These are some serious numbers, enough to throw you off, so the bike shop proceeded to equip the Street Glide with air-ride suspension at both ends. This helps lower the ride height at the flick of a switch, helping put the power down more efficiently. A 4-inch windscreen up top also helps keep the windblast in check.

Finally, other significant changes include a custom 13-inch handlebar, broader footrests, all-LED lighting, and teardrop mirrors, all topped by a Hertz four-speaker sound system coupled with an amplifier.

Indeed, you can! However, none of the aforementioned upgrades come cheap, so the custom Street Glide will burn a $61,777 hole in your pocket. You should also know that this isn’t an unused motorcycle and has 1,275 miles on its odometer. Sounds like a good deal? Well, then head to Southeast Customs and make that deposit.
