Welcome to what truck? ! ? Newsletter provided by Parade. In this issue, the work of former CFL employees and the future development of WTT.

CFL closes, an industry speeds up

Shutdown-The trucking bankruptcy on the weekend of December is the worst. On Saturday morning, my text messages and DM began to be flooded with rumors that Central Freight Lines was about to close. When Celadon closed, I was struck by an obvious sense of deja vu, which we only learned about late on a Friday night in December 19th. Like Celadon, bankruptcies on weekends are particularly challenging for drivers because they are often under load and the information they can get from their dispatch is limited. As Christmas approaches, this means that approximately 2,100 CFL drivers and operators are now unemployed.

Keep going-when Celadon happened, many of their drivers first heard of it on the FreightWaves Radio broadcast on SiriusXM on Saturday. Two years later, we ushered in the closure of another large freight company. This is the first time that many employees have heard of it on social media, through articles or from show hosts. Fortunately, there are no reports of large-scale strandings. Just like the bankruptcy of Falcon and Celadon, I decided to ask people in the freight industry to post jobs for displaced CFL workers (and others in need of work). I have listed most of them below. Please feel free to share with anyone affected.

Please note that each name links back to the point of contact with job opportunities, so if you are interested in any of them, you may find them directly.
