General Motors’ GMC brand recently showcased its 2022 Sierra EV, which is the next model in its electric vehicle lineup after Hummer’s EV Pickup and Hummer’s EV SUV. The initial delivery time of the Hummer EV pickup is in the fall of 2021, but delivery is expected to begin this month. At the same time, Hummer's EV SUV is expected to be on the market in early 2023.
General Motors did not announce the official launch date of the Sierra EV, but provided a preview of the "Advanced Exterior Lighting Sequence" for electric pickup trucks. The 2022 Sierra EV's short film reveals GM's view of the "futuristic" electric truck-at least the front end.

The 2022 Sierra EV will use the company's premium Denali interior. From a perspective, ICE 2022 GMC Sierra has a similar decoration called Denali Ultimate, which is expected to become "the apex of quality and capability."
ICE Sierra Denali Ultimate is equipped with a combined digital display of more than 40 inches, which GMC points out is the largest screen in its class. The top upholstery also uses exquisite Alpine Umber and full-grain leather seats with contrast stitching. At the same time, the dashboard is made of perforated Paldao wood. The topographic pattern of the summit of Denali Mountain was laser etched and embossed throughout the leather and wooden interior of the pickup. The vehicle's seat backs and doors also have Denali Ultimate metal badges.
ICE 2022 Sierra Denali Ultimate is equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 engine or a 3.0-liter Duramax turbocharged diesel engine. As for the functional characteristics, the fossil fuel pickup includes GM’s hands-free driving assistance technology called super cruise and adaptive driving control.
Given the unique position of 2022 Sierra EV in bringing the GMC lineup into the future, it may contain better technological innovations than its ICE counterparts, similar to the way Ford introduced multiple new features for the F-150 Lightning. Sierra EV will be built on GM's Ultium platform and may take advantage of other new innovations from automakers. In general, it will be interesting to see GM's view of futuristic all-electric pickup trucks.
